Delivery Section Leader X 2 (closing date: 10/12/24)
£44,711 - £48,710 per year. Permanent and Full time. We are looking for 2 individuals who are enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated who can demonstrate their ability to adapt swiftly to challenging situations while continuing to deliver high quality services to programme, budgets and time.
The post holder will be responsible for creating a positive 'can do' culture that is flexible to change, innovation and collaboration in order to drive and deliver the Council's C21st schools programme from the building perspective. The other role is to deliver the Council's More Homes and other projects delivery.
With a huge and expanding pipeline of work programmed well into the next decade, we believe the time is right to bring more pre and post contract work in-house. You will be part of and lead a strong team delivering a broad and exciting range of projects and will be at the forefront of the drive for decarbonisation across the council's portfolio.
Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships is key to the role, as is the ability to deliver solutions to ensure the council meets its target to produce new affordable council homes. The main focus of the post will be to work with numerous principal contractors, sub-contractors, stakeholders, councillors and tenants to ensure that projects are designed, managed and successfully completed within set timescales and budget.
Ideally, you will be an experienced project officer with excellent customer service skills combined with good construction knowledge, holding a relevant professional qualification and ideally have experience of carrying out detailed programme management and/or design work across a range of housing or education projects.
You will be rewarded with a competitive salary as well as an excellent pension scheme, opportunities and other benefits such as flexible working.
So, if you are a dedicated professional who can inspire others and deliver measurable outcomes, thrive on fresh challenges and a varied portfolio, and are ready for a fresh start in a role that can provide a high degree of job satisfaction, then we would love to hear from you.
