The Governors of St Hilda’s wish to appoint a Finance and Payroll Officer. The successful candidates would become part of an enthusiastic and hard-working team. About the Role
To be responsible for and to process and input financial and payroll related data adhering to procedural compliance. To work with the School Business Manager to ensure financial and payroll procedures are followed and operational processes are implemented that achieve efficiency and best value for the school.
Personal Qualities
* Demonstrable levels of numeracy & literacy equivalent to GCSE (A-C) or NVQ Level 2
* Hold or be studying towards a finance related qualification
* Experience of working in a financial environment
* Planning own workload to meet deadlines
* Developing and administering procedures and systems
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Good organisational skills
* Good time management
* Basic understanding of payroll and accounting principles
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures and referral points
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Proactive in undertaking further professional development
* Outstanding communicator and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines/manage time
* ICT literate
* Commitment to the school Christian values and vision
