Cook Part Time - Weekends

About the Role
Hanover are recruiting for a friendly and positive individual to join our team as a Weekend Part Time Cook at our Victoria Court development in Hamilton. Hours are between 09:30 am - 5:30 pm Saturday & Sunday.
You will be cooking and preparing healthy and nutritional meals for our customers as well as cakes and bakes. Responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining the kitchen to a high standard in line with environmental health regulations.
2. Ordering and stock control with an emphasis on sourcing produce from local suppliers.
3. Preparing and serving nutritious meals for vulnerable people in line with individual care plans (e.g., soft diet, diabetes, allergies).
About You
Essential
* Genuine passion for helping people.
* Good team working skills.
* Ability to cook healthy, nutritional meals.
* Flexible approach to work with the ability to empathize with vulnerable adults.
* Demonstrate professional conduct in working with vulnerable customers.
* Basic IT skills.
* Knowledge of Cook Safe and HACCP food safety regulations.
Desirable
* A good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
* A food hygiene and/or catering qualification.
* Ideally, one year's experience in a similar or equivalent role.
