SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the team at a reputable client secondary school in Manchester city centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN) and provide them with the support they need to succeed both academically and socially.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
2. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
3. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
4. Adapt teaching materials and strategies to accommodate the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
5. Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem among students with SEN.
6. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
7. Manage challenging behaviors effectively, using appropriate strategies and techniques.
8. Foster positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
Role Requirements:
1. Relevant experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a secondary school setting.
2. Knowledge of various special educational needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional/behavioural difficulties.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
5. Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the changing needs of students.

The successful applicant can expect to earn up to £100 per day (depending on experience) in this role.
