The Role:
As an Account Director at Ogilvy, you will lead large Global 360 projects and forge strong relationships with Unilever Brand Managers and Brand Directors. You will create momentum within the team to deliver high-quality work and identify opportunities to drive growth. You will think one step ahead, identifying potential opportunities and next steps needed, flagging risks, and proposing solutions for how the team can fulfill or overcome them. You will focus on driving world-class creativity within the team to create effective work for your clients’ business, while supporting the junior account team to help them learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage specific projects as the day-to-day contact for clients.
* Develop, maintain, and extend client relationships, becoming a trusted partner.
* Understand the client’s business, pressures, products, goals, and motivations.
* Manage client expectations regarding project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
* Lead the delivery of cross-functional integrated solutions by partnering with Ogilvy and WPP’s capability experts.
* Champion high standards for agency work, prioritizing attention to detail.
* Cultivate an environment that encourages creative exploration and visionary thinking.
* Stay updated on industry trends to ensure our approach remains relevant.
* Foster a creative atmosphere that aligns client perspectives with agency profitability objectives.
* Promote diversity and inclusivity in the creative environment.
* Keep up to date with social media developments and leverage this knowledge for campaign success.
* Facilitate collaboration by valuing diverse viewpoints.
* Provide strategic counsel to clients, aligning their goals with effective strategies.
* Collaborate in crafting presentations that showcase agency capabilities.
* Act as a brand ambassador, embodying agency values and culture.
* Optimize operational efficiency by refining processes and workflows.
* Work closely with project management to ensure timely project delivery.
* Build strong working relationships with creative, planning, and account teams.
* Contribute to the agency culture and identity.
* Escalate issues to senior management when support is needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
* 1-2 years of experience at Account Director level.
* Proven track record in overseeing integrated marketing campaigns.
* Ability to manage project execution from strategic inception to implementation.
* Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams for campaign success.
* Experience adapting global consistency to local nuances.
* Proficiency in digital tools for campaign orchestration and audience engagement.
* Ability to use data analytics to inform integrated strategies.
* Experience in budget management and cost-effective project delivery.
* Familiarity with integrated campaigns for global brands.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills for conveying campaign value.
* Keen eye for identifying integration opportunities across channels.
* Proven capability to adapt strategies based on performance insights.
* Skill in crafting engaging presentations for clients.
* Familiarity with emerging trends in integrated marketing.
* Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
