Protocol Education are looking for warm and inclusive educational staff dedicated to providing every child with the opportunity to achieve their full potential. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, specializing in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to students with SEND in both 1:1 and group settings.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that accommodate the needs of SEND students.
* Support students in their learning, helping them to stay engaged, organized, and confident.
* Work closely with the SENDCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individual learning plans.
* Help students with mobility, personal care, and any additional physical needs as required.
* Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning resources to ensure inclusivity.
* Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback and reporting to the SENDCo.
* Foster a nurturing, positive, and respectful learning environment for all students.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Previous experience working with children with SEND in an educational setting.
* Knowledge and understanding of SEND and the strategies to support students with a variety of needs.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with students, teachers, and parents.
* A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to working with children with diverse needs.
* Experience of supporting students with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and/or learning disabilities is an advantage.
Desirable Skills:
* Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* A positive attitude towards continuous professional development.
* First Aid training or the willingness to complete training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
