We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Environmental Performance Team as a Network Protection Investigator (Enforcement).
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive team. You’ll be at the heart of making our networks cleaner and safer, helping customers, communities, and the environment thrive.
This role covers the Crawley - RH10 3NW, Earlswood - Redhill - RH1 5HE, Hockford (STW) - GU24 0DE area.
* This is a Monday to Friday position (36 hrs) and some evening visits will be required; however, it is also a flexible role where working hours can be accommodated.
What you will be doing as a Network Protection Investigator (Enforcement):
* Work closely with customers who fail to adopt best kitchen practices to stop the misuse of drains and prevent further Fatbergs from forming.
* Carry out investigations, where necessary, and provide evidence under the Water Industry Act 1991 for third party prosecutions.
* Actively participate in reducing blockages, sewage flooding, and pollution; protecting our network, customers, and the environment alike.
* Be the sole worker for your area, visiting and engaging with customers daily on best kitchen practices.
What should you bring to the role?
* Experience of working with and managing diverse customer relationships.
* Confident and persuasive communicator at all levels, both written and verbal.
* Dedicated individual who can work alone effectively, managing your own time to deliver results.
* Team player who can work towards a team objective while managing your workload remotely.
* Ability to use an Android Smartphone and basic knowledge of MS Office (training provided).
* Desirable knowledge of the sewer network is a plus but not essential (training provided).
* Clean driving license is essential as the role requires travel across several areas in the region. A company vehicle will be provided.
