We are looking for an apprentice receptionist/care navigator keen to undertake a position in General Practice with a view to registration with a training provider. The practice will support this training, and it will be a mandatory requirement of this placement.
THE POST IS FULL TIME and the hours are between 08.00-18.30pm Monday to Friday.
You will learn alongside an experienced reception team and be supported by the team to deal objectively and professionally in a calm and approachable manner when liaising with patients, staff, healthcare professionals, and outside agencies.
Assisting the team in prioritising a busy workload, being a reliable and flexible team player, and possessing the ability to help the team deal with a wide range of clerical and administrative duties in a busy environment. Previous experience of working in a General Practice or NHS setting or similar job setting would be preferable, but full training and support would be offered.
The position is mainly at Richmond Medical Centre, Accrington; however, there may be an occasion where you work at the linked practice in Nelson, and transport would be organised.

Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the office manager, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels. Job responsibilities
Main duties include dealing with patients face to face, answering telephone calls, booking appointments, care navigation, dealing with incoming and outgoing mail and emails, handling patient queries, registrations and deductions on the Emis system, readcoding and data inputting, scanning documents, referrals, and other general administrative duties. Adhering to the confidentiality policy is essential.

* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent, or experience in a similar role
* Previous administrative or customer care experience
