A minimum pattern of 3 days per week of working on campus is anticipated for this role in normal circumstances
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Do you have expertise in the practicalities and challenges of library stock management in both electronic and print formats? Are you an experienced people manager with an ability to lead and motivate others to achieve key objectives? Could you make a positive contribution to our collections development and management strategy and operational practices?
We are seeking to recruit a Manager to lead our Collections Management Team based within the Collections Development and Management section of the Library. The particular focus of the team is a responsibility for the systematic editing and management of our printed texts, processing new items for use including binding and subscriptions, analysis of information resources usage and in-house book repairs. The team also leads the annual stock inventory and conducts other discrete stock management projects including works related to categorisation, preservation and the selection for retention of all resource media. Data analysis is a particularly new and developmental part of this role investigating usage of both print and electronic stock and understanding predicted future demand to inform the systematic editing and acquisition of content in all formats.
