Key Accountabilities
1. People Operations
2. Lead the UK PX operations team supporting and enabling UK people in the end to end processes of hire to retire, including audits and compliance activities.
3. Drive efficiency and productivity gains by reviewing, streamlining and automating processes and procedures.
4. People Onboarding
5. Responsible for the smooth delivery of a corporate induction programme for all new joiners, including defining, refining and delivering a programme and content.
6. People Systems
7. Working with Group PX Systems to develop a locally led model to support the management and maintenance of the UK HRIS suite within the Group Framework.
8. People Related Projects
9. Take ownership of people related projects, ensuring stakeholder engagement, change and people outcome are delivered in line with the PX Strategy.
10. This may include, integration of acquisitions, harmonisation activities, HRIS systems transformation and could also include project management of a 'first time' BAU process.
11. Champion continuous improvement within PX including managing and prioritising the improvements register.
12. Support the PX BP team in the delivery of major projects through support in 1:1 meetings.
13. Reporting
14. Implement a systemic approach to the production of high quality and accurate reporting to help drive data-based decision making, and for risk and compliance monitoring.
15. Work Health & Safety
16. Working with Group Work Health and Safety, develop a locally led model to support the management of WHS within the Group Framework and utilising the UK Facilities team.
17. Currently a matrix management approach which will require strong stakeholder and influencing to maintain oversight.
18. Wider PX Activities
19. Support the PX BP team if required in hearings or appeals for disciplinary and grievance hearings.
20. Change Management
21. Support and lead change management initiatives to ensure that the PX Team and UK business can adapt seamlessly to the evolving needs of the business.
22. Policy Management
23. Ownership of the UK People Policies, including partnering with the PX BP team and L&D on the review and maintenance of UK Policies in alignment with the Group PX Policy Framework.
24. Enable PX processes to execute against UK PX Policy.
25. Risk Management
26. Support Head of UK PX business unit to foster a risk culture.
27. Oversee risk reporting for the business unit.
28. Working with 1st line, enable UK PX business unit to deliver operational risk and compliance risk activities.
29. People Leadership
30. Build, nurture and grow the UK People Operations team, fostering high engagement and driving operational excellence and a seamless people experience.
Skills and Experience
1. CIPD Level 7 qualification or relevant business-related degree.
2. Minimum of 10 years proven experience in People operations, with a deep understanding of systemising and automating processes for efficiencies.
3. 3 years+ experience in HR leadership roles, preferably in a scale up environment, and or with experience with mergers and acquisitions.
4. A problem solver with the ability to translate organisational strategy into pragmatic HR strategies and initiatives.
5. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
6. Up to date knowledge of UK employment law and regulations.
7. Experience working across global boundaries preferred but not essential.
8. Strong communication, consulting, negotiation and facilitation skills at a senior level.
9. Drives collaborative experiences and opportunities with colleagues and stakeholders.
10. Previous experience of harmonisation and TUPE related activities.
11. Flexibility to travel to other UK sites and off-site meetings.
12. Previous experience of developing and delivering first line manager training is advantageous.
13. This role requires attendance at the office in Leeds a minimum of 2 days every week. Flexibility to attend regular (up to weekly) early morning calls with colleagues in Australia is also a requirement.
£60,000 - £70,000 a year
