About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist / Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Northern Community Mental Health team.
In this role you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional occupational therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in promoting independence, fostering personal growth, and facilitating meaningful engagement in daily activities.
As an Occupational Therapist you will provide therapeutic engagement and coordination of care to the range of people receiving community-based mental health services. You will be comfortable working as a member of an interdisciplinary team, spending time out and about with consumers living in the community.
The community team Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive assessments and interventions for consumers who are experiencing concerns regarding occupational performance. Occupational Therapy adopts a sensory modulation approach to offer insight into an individual’s level of functioning and provide non-pharmacological recommendations for reducing distress, maximising functioning, and enhancing meaningful engagement.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
