The Role
As Senior Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for leading a small team of surveyors, overseeing the planning and delivery of improvement works to buildings across Bristol. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, balancing conservation principles with modern requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a small team of surveyors, providing guidance and professional development.

Oversee the planning, specification, and delivery of improvement works to historic buildings.

Conduct detailed surveys, condition reports, and feasibility assessments.
*
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including listed building and planning regulations.
*
Work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
*
Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk assessments.
About You
*
A degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
*
Chartered status (RICS or CIOB) - or working towards it.
*
Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring a team.
*
Excellent knowledge of building regulations, conservation principles, and planning requirements.
*
Strong project management skills with experience delivering works from inception to completion.
*
Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
