Interim Demand Planning Manager
MISSION
The Demand Planning Manager will play an instrumental role in the delivery of our commercial strategies, achievement of operational goals and evolution of our Supply Chain capabilities in the UK & Ireland market. Responsible for a multi-brand division, the Demand Planning Manager will lead an integrated and highly collaborative Sales & Operations Planning process across the business, steering key business decisions. This role requires a blend of leadership, commercial awareness, extensive S&OP process knowledge and technical experience with supply chain planning systems. Ultimately, this role will drive outstanding forecast accuracy through deep data analytics and leveraging market information.
This is an exciting time to join the Shiseido UK & Ireland team as we continue to invest and build our supply chain capabilities, including the introduction of a new advanced SAP-IBP demand planning system.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the Sales & Operations Planning process for a portfolio of brands.
* Generate & calibrate the statistical forecast in IBP (SAP forecasting system) driving forecast accuracy of core, new launch and animation programs.
* Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams to assess and capture local market information that will influence demand (i.e. specific events, distribution changes, cannibalization) based on Brand strategies or market trends.
* Build holistic new product launch and animation forecasts leveraging benchmark information and considering wider implications for the category / portfolio.
* Lead monthly gap analysis between demand and financial plans, facilitating alignment decisions and capturing key business opportunities and risks.
* Control the purchasing and supply of all point of sale materials with Marketing and Finance teams.
* Partner with Supply Planning to facilitate highly effective operations management over the short-term horizon, enabling first class customer service and inventory optimisation results.
* Coach direct team members and also lead the continued education and development of our S&OP capabilities across the business.
* Advocate and lead the wider supply chain transformation roadmap and key initiatives.
PROFILE:
* In depth working knowledge of the cosmetics sector or of a similarly face-paced sector (FMCG, Mass retail...).
* Proven commercial forecasting experience.
* Advanced knowledge of demand planning systems utilising statistical forecasting (SAP-IBP or SAP-APO preferable).
* Experience with S4Hana.
* Strong ability to lead, influence and communicate across the organisation.
* Highly motivated and goal-oriented team player.
* Able to be flexible and adaptive in prioritising to meet deadlines.
