Job Title: Buyer
Location: Blackwood
Salary: £25,000-£28,000 per annum
Hours: Full time. Monday - Friday, days regular 37.5 hours a week, start time can be slightly flexible
Here at The Recruitment Co, we are recruiting s Junior Buyer to work for a company in Blackwood on a temp to perm basis.
Main job roles:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Supply Chain Planner / Buyer will play an
integral part of the team supporting on key functions within the department including below:
* Procurement,
* Vendor management,
* MRP scheduling,
* Quality Assurance,
* New Product Development,
* driving improvement initiatives while maintaining excellent customer service levels and some administrative duties.
* Using strong commercial and analytical skills the role will create value for the business through effective negotiation of price, contract and service level agreements.

* The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a track record of achieving cost down benefit to the business.

Education and Experience
* Educated to degree level - CIPS preferably (or working towards)
* Supply chain or Procurement experience
* IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge
* Experience working with a MRP/ERP and SAP system.
* Experience working in a legislative environment and familiar working with procedures/systems
