Respiratory Physiologist - Weekend Sessions - South London
Outpatient Network are looking for Respiratory Physiologists to support us with our sleep study clinics held south of London. OPN are able to offer competitive rates of pay via Ltd company.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Conducting Sleep Studies: Performing sleep-related tests to monitor various physiological parameters during sleep.
2. Patient Assessment: Evaluating patients' medical histories, symptoms, and sleep patterns to determine the appropriate testing and treatment options.
3. Data Analysis: Analyzing the data collected during sleep studies, including respiratory function, oxygen levels, and sleep architecture.
4. Equipment Management: Setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting sleep study equipment and ensuring it functions correctly.
5. Collaboration: Working closely with physicians, neurologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret results and develop treatment plans.
6. Patient Education: Providing information to patients about sleep disorders, testing procedures, and potential treatment options, including CPAP therapy.
7. Reporting: Preparing detailed reports on findings from sleep studies and presenting these to the healthcare team for further evaluation.

Job Responsibilities
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Respiratory Physiologists to join our sleep studies clinics. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in diagnosing and managing sleep-related breathing disorders through the conduct and analysis of sleep studies. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to ongoing research in sleep physiology.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Sleep Studies: Perform diagnostic tests to monitor patients' sleep patterns and physiological parameters.
2. Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients' medical histories and symptoms to determine appropriate testing protocols and ensure accurate data collection.
3. Data Analysis: Analyze sleep study data, including respiratory function, oxygen saturation, and sleep architecture, and prepare reports summarizing findings.
4. Equipment Management: Set up, calibrate, and maintain sleep study equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning correctly and adhering to safety standards.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, neurologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
6. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about sleep disorders, testing procedures, and treatment options, including continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy.
7. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation of all assessments, procedures, and communications.

Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science in physiological sciences.
