This is a key post as a Cover Supervisor
The start date will be as soon as we have satisfactory clearances for the successful candidate. Our current team of Cover Supervisors work to cover lessons in teachers’ absence, as directed by our Cover Administrator, and are line managed by our Deputy Headteacher (Behaviour, Inclusion, and Ethos). Work is provided either by the absent teacher or by their Head of Subject. Cover Supervisors also help by taking a register should a Tutor be absent from school, attending an Assembly, or by working as part of a ‘pool’ of associate tutors supporting students. In addition, Cover Supervisors lend other support by taking a Duty or helping with administrative tasks. We provide excellent development for our Cover Supervisors with many going on to pursue a career in teaching. For those already qualified as a teacher, we are sometimes able to offer a temporary teaching contract. This post provides a unique opportunity to develop new skills in a school which has a compelling vision and deep commitment to providing exceptional teaching and learning.The RoleThis post is 35 hours per week and graded BG8, term time only + 5 INSET days. The salary is BG8, which is currently equivalent to £28,163 rising to £30,060 per annum (gross) (paid pro rata). Working term time only will impact on the actual salary paid.
