Behaviour Mentor - Greenwich - Immediately - £95-£110 a day (depending on experience)
Behaviour Mentor needed for a Secondary school in Greenwich. The role involves:
1. Working alongside students with challenging behaviour.
2. Providing assistance to students in classrooms.
3. Working closely with other staff members, such as behaviour mentors, youth workers, and pastoral care workers.
4. Providing 1:1 direct intervention and support within the classroom.
5. Contributing to creating a positive learning environment for students in collaboration with the class teacher.
6. Observing and evaluating pupils' responses about the progress of their learning and interventions.
7. Ensuring that all pupils are included in the classroom.
8. Providing support to the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour.
9. Maintaining communication with the behavioural and SLT teams regarding the progress of the students.
10. Supporting young people who struggle in the classroom by mentoring them.
Requirements:
1. Enhanced DBS.
2. Relevant previous employment history.
3. Experience mentoring or supporting young people with challenging behaviours in a school setting.
4. Excellent behaviour management skills.
