To liaise with the Therapy Manager providing specialist advice on the planning and development of the service. To represent Therapy Services on any service development working parties / meetings as appropriate. To support the leading of regular staff meetings and facilitate good communication between the department and Trust both on Trust and National issues ensuring effective dissemination of information. To provide expert advice to colleagues. To monitor activity and support production/analysis of data for clinical speciality. Where necessary, to take appropriate action to ensure activity and waiting list targets are achieved within the service. To assess the Therapy equipment required for the department. To actively participate in the professional development programme of the physiotherapy /therapy department. To undertake appraisals and development reviews within the therapy teamContribute to the induction of new therapy staff. To attend relevant training courses and complete yearly appraisal and personal development plans in order to maintain clinical and managerial competence. To disseminate information from training attended as required. To train and supervise students on clinical placement
