About The Role Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for optimising inventory supply and delivering outstanding availability? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Manufacturing Materials Planner. As a Materials Planner, your primary responsibility will be to ensure stock is on site to meet demand at the right time and at the right level for our largest Manufacturing site. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure that material availability remains outstanding while controlling inventory levels and optimising purchasing costs. This is a key role which underpins operational and financial performance on site and requires the ability to handle multiple objectives simultaneously and a strong focus on getting every detail correct. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement medium to long-term materials plans for site for several hundred products Own the Purchase Order process and liaise with suppliers, warehousing and finance to resolve any issues and improve ways of working Generate and communicate accurate and timely forecasts for suppliers Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure a seamless flow of raw materials to site Collaborate with the operations and warehousing to investigate any stock discrepancies and drive improved ways of working and best practice on inventory control Build strong and productive relationships with all internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders Continuously improve business efficiencies and identify opportunities for process enhancements Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation Why not take a look around one of our Manufacturing sites? Click here. About You We're looking for someone with proven experience in materials supply planning within a manufacturing environment. You will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise materials flow and processes, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with various stakeholders. Proficiency in Excel is required and experience of ERP/MRP systems is desirable but not essential. You will also thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, balancing day to day activities with seasonal events and change projects.
