HEALTH, SAFETY & COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 5pm
Location: Trinity Buoy Wharf, London, E14 0JW

G4S Facilities Management are recruiting a Health, Safety & Compliance Officer on a full-time, permanent basis based in London, across our Greenwich and Liftco contracts.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who works well independently as well as part of a team, has excellent written and verbal communication and is well equipped to adapt to change. You will be responsible for monitoring the overall compliance framework to ensure the contract(s) complies with statutory and mandatory requirements, Health Technical Memoranda and internal H&S Policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Track and report on health, safety, and compliance tasks and discuss and agree on priority actions with the Operations team.
Carry out re-assurance checks as part of the "Independent monitoring & assurance" Compliance team for the business.
Host weekly compliance calls to ensure all overdue priority actions are escalated appropriately.
Attend and support quarterly review meetings with specialist contractors as required.
Ensure contracts for building operations meet legal requirements and tenant needs.
Conduct regular site visits with follow up action plans and site visit reports.
Assist with incident investigations, incident statistic collation and analysis.
Arrange fire risks assessments, water risk assessments and Zurich inspections (including the preparation and issuing of ATWs).
Review contractor/engineer service sheets following remedial works or scheduled servicing and track remedial action completion times.
Ensure that due diligence checks are carried out on all contractors.
Ensure that desktop preparations are completed for internal and external audits (health and safety, compliance) and monitor non-compliance actions through to close out.
Implement G4S FM Health & Safety System, ensure Contract compliance with policies, procedures, SHE plan.
Ensure that all health, safety and compliance objectives and KPIs in the Contract H&S Strategy and Improvement Plan are adhered to.
Monthly review and analysis of hazard reporting.
Complete monthly performance reports on health, safety and compliance as required.
Carry out an annual review of subcontractor H&S information and ensure subcontractor pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ) and associated documents are available and retained.
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential
NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, Level 3 (if not held, commitment to obtain required).
Relevant demonstrable experience in a similar role.
Good knowledge of Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems.
Excellent knowledge of building compliance.
Provable experience of auditing and performance monitoring.
Ability to work openly and collaboratively at all levels
Excellent written skills, proficient in Google programs.
Full driving licence.
