Full job description
Do you have a passion for supporting children as they progress through their education? Humly is looking for a Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school, providing essential support to students as they transition into Key Stage 2. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact, helping children build confidence, independence, and key academic skills in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 15:30 (30-minute lunch break)
Total Weekly Hours: 35 hours
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support, assisting children with literacy, numeracy, and topic-based learning.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging students to develop independence and a love of learning.
* Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of learning materials, and interactive activities.
* Support students with social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and teamwork.
* Help with daily routines, including transitions between lessons, playtime supervision, and maintaining a safe and structured learning space.

* Experience working with children in a primary school, early years, or education setting.
* A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
* A passion for child development and education, with an understanding of Key Stage 2 learning strategies.
* Adaptability, creativity, and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic classroom setting.
