You will join a central team working nationally alongside colleagues in six regional offices to deliver grant programmes that will repair and conserve all types of built heritage.
You will be able to have a direct impact on the conservation of our national heritage by working with owners and communities to find sustainable solutions for traditional buildings. It is also an invaluable opportunity to work alongside Historic England expert staff, with whom you will be able to exchange skills and knowledge.
Please note that this role:

* Extensive experience of specifying works to upgrade traditional buildings to meet current regulations and standards.
* Working knowledge of the principles and practices of historic building conservation as exemplified in Conservation Principles, and familiarity with current issues affecting historic buildings and the historic environment.
* Good interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
