Job Title: Shop Manager
Location: Chesham
Hours: Part-Time 4 days (7 days variable rota Mon to Sun)
Contract: 30 hours per week
Reports to: Shops Operations Manager

Our Chapter Two Community Book Shop in Chesham is a key local destination with community engagement, diversity and wellbeing through reading at its heart. If you want to be part of that journey, then you’ve come to the right place.
We’re looking for a Shop Manager to manage our deputy and bank team and together with a wonderful group of loyal volunteers to drive sales in this high-donating and busy flagship shop.
This post will have a strong focus on driving sales and Gift Aid, people management, event organisation, visual merchandising and customer experience.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
* A passion for retail and being a ‘people person’
* Good general standard of education
* A love of reading and an understanding of the benefits of reading
* Previous charity retail experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong operational and organisational skills
* Good numeracy skills
* Confident IT user
* Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
* Physical strength for manual lifting and handling
Salary: £20,332.80 (Part time x 4 days)

DBS Check: The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced level DBS check, arranged free of charge.
