An exciting opportunity has become available for a Trainee Field Project Coordinator to join our Exploration and Production team based in Aberdeen. You will be responsible for managing the provision of equipment cylinders consumables and field personnel to meet our client needs for offshore and site-based ad-hoc scopes of work. ABOUT YOU We are seeking someone who is qualified in a scientific discipline and is willing to learn. This position will be working with the Equipment and Cylinders Coordinator, Stores and Cylinders workshop colleagues, and the billing team to ensure all aspects of the project are scoped, delivered, met and then billed. Required skills and experience: Degree in chemical sciences or another scientific discipline Good IT literacy skills, especially Excel Ability to work independently in a client-facing environment and to communicate professionally directly with clients and colleagues Ability to critique and improve activities through continuous improvement and innovation. Highly energised mindset with willingness and desire to learn and adapt individually ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We are recruiting for a Trainee Field Project Coordinator to join our Exploration and Production team based in Aberdeen. You will be responsible for managing the provision of equipment cylinders consumables and field personnel to meet our client needs for offshore and site-based ad-hoc scopes of work. Working on a project-management basis to fulfil scopes of work of varying size, the projects may include only field personnel coordination or include equipment &/or consumables coordination in addition. Key activities: To ensure coordination of all aspects of a client field project, including the availability of the right equipment, consumables, cylinders, and competent personnel to service clients’ needs, mainly offshore but at onshore sites as required In conjunction with the relevant client rep, ensure that all personnel proposed for offshore work are trained to the required level of competence, both technically and in respect to offshore familiarisation To prepare quotations and work scopes in response to client enquiries concerning fulfilling the client’s needs, in line with pricing policy/authority limits Accountable for ensuring incoming work is handled appropriately and registered accurately into relevant company databases Manage and develop direct reports, including all associated people management responsibilities, including building a future talent pipeline, succession planning, and performance management Always perform duties in compliance with corporate and local systems, rules, and procedures, including any Quality Assurance, Health & Safety and Environmental Standards What We Offer: Join Intertek and become part of our global network of inspiring and entrepreneurial colleagues.
