Key Responsibilities: Support the Headteacher: Work closely with the Headteacher to implement the school's vision and strategic objectives. DSL Team: Be part of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) team, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children. Behaviour Leadership: Lead the pastoral team to ensure all pupils are supported socially and emotionally. Oversee and develop behaviour strategies that foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful school culture. Attendance Leadership: Work with families and staff to improve attendance and punctuality, implementing strategies to support students and families, particularly those at risk of persistent absence. Staff Development: Support the professional growth of all staff, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and student teachers, providing coaching, professional development, and constructive feedback. Performance Management: Take responsibility for performance managing staff at different levels across the school, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and leadership. Teaching and Learning Leadership: Lead initiatives to enhance teaching practices, curriculum development, and student outcomes. We are looking for a leader who is/can: - Be an outstanding teacher with a proven track record of excellence in the classroom. - Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others. - Have experience in supporting and developing staff across different levels. - Be highly knowledgeable about behaviour and attendance strategies that drive success. - Have experience in, or be willing to train as, a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). - Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Approach challenges with positivity, resilience, and a solution-focused mindset. - Be committed to continual professional development and personal growth. - Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students.
