On behalf of EANI, we are looking for a Financial Analyst (Inside IR35/PAYE) for a 6 month contract based in Belfast 2-3 days per week in the office.
As a Financial Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:
1. Manage the Special Schools business area - getting a deep understanding of the actual spend to better inform forecasts.
2. Analysis of general ledger transactions - getting a deeper understanding of the actual spend, analysing and undertaking trend analysis.
3. Correcting miscoding transactions, looking at manual journals, their values and ascertaining the relevance.
4. Potentially looking at purchase orders, their value and bringing this into forecasts.
5. Analysis of agency staff, to better inform a forecast, and accruing outstanding charges.
6. Input into salary forecasting, updating for actual spend and forecasting for future months and identifying potential future savings.
7. Development of our current suite of reports for our business areas, including a standardisation of reports across areas, especially a monthly DMT report.
8. Deeper analysis of substitution costs and legal cases.
9. Development of monthly financial packs - to include actual spend to date and forecasts for the remainder of the year - automating the process as far as possible.
Essential:
1. Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant
2. Financial Background
3. Experience in Financial analysis
4. Strong Excel and Modelling skills
5. Analysing large datasets
6. Spend analysis
7. Public sector experience
8. Experience in developing Reporting Standardisation
