We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Year 1 Teacher to join a supportive and dedicated team at a prestigious school. Beginning September 2025. Duties as a Year 1 Teacher: Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 national curriculum Use effective assessment for learning to identify next steps and support pupil progress Create a calm, inclusive and purposeful learning environment Teach early phonics and reading with confidence and enthusiasm (e.g. through schemes like Read Write Inc, Little Wandle, etc.) Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to personalise learning Establish positive relationships with parents, carers and the wider school community Contribute to school-wide events, trips, and enrichment opportunities Uphold safeguarding and promote the wellbeing of all pupils Ideal Year 1 Teacher: Holds QTS and has experience in Early Years or Key Stage 1 Has a good understanding of phonics and early literacy development Demonstrates creativity, energy, and a love for learning Is nurturing, patient, and committed to inclusive practice Works well as part of a team and values collaboration Has excellent communication and organisational skills as a Year 1 Teacher.
