A number of outstanding opportunities have arisen for 2 contract positions between our Rotatives Derby Compressor Discs and Drums Facility (DCDD) and Shafts business. We are looking for a number of Paint Sprayers to join us on a 12 month contract. Please note this role is going to be on a rotating shift pattern (mornings, afternoons and nights). You will operate in a busy, world-class engineering and manufacturing environment and be responsible for delivering against weekly targets to meet customer requirements. As a Paint Sprayer you will be doing: Reporting to the Production leader, you will be working within a team environment to prepare shafts by abrasive blasting using Aluminium oxide grit and also the application of corrosive protective paints to various shafts. The Paint Sprayer role involves the abrasive blasting and preparation for the manual application of both water based and solvent based corrosion protection paints to areas on L.P, H.P and I.P Mainline shafts, stubshafts, Discs and Drums as identified through technical instructions, MDT and finished drawings. In addition, the role also involves the loading and unloading of paint curing ovens as well as manually trimming excess paint from unpainted surfaces. Who we are looking for: As a paint sprayer for Rolls-Royce, it is essential to adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe, clean, and tidy work area. You must be proficient in interpreting manufacturing drawings, technical instructions, and written specifications. Delivering right-first-time quality for each operation is crucial, as is working collaboratively within an integrated team to achieve cell objectives. Additionally, you are responsible for quality-checking your own work and accurately completing all relevant documentation. While previous experience would be beneficial, full training is available for the successful candidate.
