The Gynaecology Advanced Nurse Practitioner is an experienced registered nurse with specialist skills to assess and treat patients and manage the clinical environment, in liaison with the management and consultant team.
HealthHarmonie is delighted to commence a pilot with NHSE for delivery of Gynaecology provision in women’s prisons, currently within the Staffordshire area, including Drake Hall and Foston Hall.
Main duties of the job
The Nurse Specialist will act as an autonomous practitioner, forming clinical decisions and complex management plans in the assessment and treatment of patients. In conjunction with senior nursing and consultant staff, they will formulate the development of clinical guidelines for all aspects of clinical practice within the clinical specialty.
The post holder will work closely with the interdisciplinary team and collaborate with colleagues to ensure that high-quality patient care is maintained.
The aim of the service is to provide the following:
1. Contraceptive support post-release.
2. Sexual health
3. Reproductive health
4. Pessaries
5. Coil removals
6. Swabs

Qualifications
* Ability to diagnose, treat, and prescribe.
* Experience in long-term contraceptive support post-release.
* Experience in sexual and reproductive health.
* Pessaries
* Swabs
* Coil removals
* Menstrual problems, HMB
* Reviewing current plan
* No sexual health skill required
* OPH experience.
* Smears
* Endometrial biopsies
Experience
* Previous experience working in General Gynaecology.
* Previous community experience.
* Minimum experience of 12 months within NHS environment.
