We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our client, a successful high street fashion retailer, within their merchandising team. Your contributions will have a direct impact on stores, the website, and overall business growth. You’ll be involved in both branded and own-brand products, working in a team that actively supports personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide a weekly summary of key performance indicators within your areas of responsibility and across the wider business, including sales, stock, and profit versus budget and last year’s figures.
2. Develop and implement weekly trading actions to optimize department sales and margins.
3. Serve as the key contact for all analysis related to your areas of responsibility.
4. Maintain weekly stock, sales, and intake forecasts to drive sales, minimize risks, and communicate with the Distribution Centre for short-term workflow planning and long-term budgeting.
5. Collaborate with the team to manage branch inventory levels, allocations, and replenishment as needed.
6. Act as the primary point of contact for stores regarding inventory availability queries.
7. Analyse and summarize markdowns and promotional activities for your departments and the wider business.
8. Ensure markdowns are accurately reflected in the system according to the markdown calendar.
9. Engage with other internal teams to enhance performance and promote best practices.
10. Act as a key contact for merchandising reporting and the use of merchandising processes and systems.
