The Equipment Manager is deemed competent Master Lifting Equipment Record Keepers by Brigade Electrical and Mechanical Engineer Responsible in conjunction with the Squadron MT SNCOs for the correct testing and recording of the Sub Unit lifting tackle, cranes, winches, recovery and miscellaneous mechanical and electrical equipment Conduct roadworthiness inspections of all vehicles held by the unit and complete mandatory roadworthiness inspection reports on completion of course, D827 Inspector Vehicles and deemed competent on specific equipment to be appointed and authorised as a competent vehicle inspector Complete all necessary annual continuation training to remain competent As an authorised Engineering Supervisor deliver continuation training to all Unit vehicle inspectors as per MoD policy Line Management of four civilian fitters Person specification The ideal candidate will have experience in a management role in an engineering workshop carrying out maintenance, modification, inspection certification and testing of wheeled vehicles up to HGV. Also, inspection and testing of ancillary equipment including water heater, generating equipment and high-pressure washers and the management of Lifting and Recovery Equipment. You will have had experience of maintaining electronic and hard copy documentation and line management of staff. The post requires formal qualifications and evidence of experience of vehicle workshop management at a senior level.
