Role Summary: You will have a passionate interest in IT and IT-related services and have some technical know-how with IT equipment such as computers, networking equipment tablets, and mobiles. Working with the support of the service desk team, you be providing day-to-day IT services support to resolve issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. You will diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, providing timely resolutions and promoting maintenance. You will promote positive and professional relationships with our schools and care about the outcomes of the support you and the Company provide. You will have good communication skills and the ability to clarify and explain instructions clearly. Development: Observing and listening to more experienced colleagues Putting formal training and coaching to practice. Taking feedback on board Participating in internal training. Technical: Basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues Support system and user account setup, including password resets and permissions Assist with installing, configuring, and updating software and operating systems Commitment and performance on the apprenticeship programme Safeguarding training and awareness Communication & Collaboration: Contributes to ideas and group discussions Communicate confidently with schools both written and verbal Asks for help when needed Engages with all communication platforms across our business Confident and friendly telephone manner Positively contributes to team morale Delivery: Puts learning into practice Demonstrates an improvement in knowledge and skills High client satisfaction Collaboration with internal teams for technical problem-solving Manages time efficiently Represents our Company to a high standard The training you'll be provided with: Comprehensive introductory modules including technical introduction and personal/ professional development Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship standard Training for all pathways of your IT career (support technician, network technician, digital communications technician) Specialising in a portfolio of evidence for the Support Technician pathway e-learning training materials Bi-weekly virtual classroom training on the CompTIA vendor qualifications Access to uCertify training platform; core learning materials, assessments, and practical hands-on-labs Monthly work-based coaches visits and competency checks 9 am – 5 pm Support desk for technical support You will also have the opportunity to network with a range of other apprentices on our programme who can share ideas, offer suggestions and support. Our apprentices love being able to help each other As one of our apprentices, you will also have access to our online portal that will provide you with information and technical guidance, as well as links to the helpdesk to speak to technicians who can give real-time advice and support.
