Job summary This job posting is for a Junior Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust in Croydon. The post seeks four successful candidates who will be assigned to one of two rotations that consist of an inpatient post and a community post. In summary: Position : Fixed-term, full-time (9am-5pm, Monday to Friday) with optional on-call rota. Rotations : One year split between an inpatient post and a community post (six months each). Inpatient Role : Work on acute psychiatric wards (Gresham 1 and Gresham 2) at Bethlem Royal Hospital Community Role : Work with Croydon Central Locality and Croydon Central A and L teams, Team Composition : Multidisciplinary teams including doctors, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and psychologists. Opportunities : Develop skills in assessment, care, and treatment of vulnerable patients, dynamic risk assessment, and working with acutely disturbed patients. Professional Development : Two sessions for supporting professional activities per week, equivalent to 1 day, where successful candidates can pursue an interest in psychiatry, be it research, teaching, specialist clinical experiences, psychotherapy experience or other projects.
