Please be aware Co-op does not offer visa sponsorship for this opportunity We’re looking for Senior BI (Business Intelligence) Developers to join us in Manchester to help us develop innovative data products that colleagues across Co-op can use to inform their decision-making. We’ll look to you to create dynamic BI reports, dashboards, and robust reporting solutions that help colleagues better understand their data. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way – spending 1-2 days per week working from the office (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy ). As a Senior BI Developer at Co-op, you’ll collaborate with our Engineering colleagues and use your coding skills to build robust reporting and BI solutions – managing each task from start to finish. It’s so important that we provide colleagues with the means to understand performance and make data-driven decisions that create value for our customers, members, and communities – and you’ll play a key part in this What you’ll do Design and maintain advanced BI solutions using Power BI and MicroStrategy, ensuring they can handle large amounts of data efficiently Manage Power BI resources to ensure high performance and availability, ensuring the environment is cost-effective and handles large data loads Lead the development of ETL processes using Databricks and Azure Data Factory to integrate and transform large data sets across Co-op Work closely with teams across the wider business to understand their requirements and provide insights, ensuring BI solutions meet their needs Ensure security and compliance in the BI environment, protecting and safeguarding sensitive data and adhering to regulations like GDPR This role would suit people who have Extensive experience with Power BI and MicroStrategy, particularly in creating and managing large, complex dashboards that meet business needs Experience optimising Power BI performance in large-scale environments, balancing resource allocation, and troubleshooting issues Experience with modern ETL processes; using Databricks and Azure Data Factory to manage large and complex data pipelines The ability to write complex SQL queries and use Python for advanced data analysis Experience securing BI tools like MicroStrategy and Power BI, and ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA A good understanding of cloud platforms like Azure and how to use them for enterprise BI solutions Why Co-op?
