Shipping Coordinator – Maidenhead - £28,000 to £32,000, 10% Bonus, Overtime and Private Healthcare
Melbreck Technical are working with a leading designer and manufacturer of special purpose electro-mechanical and electronic equipment based near Maidenhead. Due to a planned expansion, and succession planning for the next two to three years, they are actively looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join the organisation as soon as possible. This role comes with excellent career prospects as it is a critical position within the business’s growth strategy, so would ideally be suited to someone energetic and passionate about supply chain who is looking to build a career.
Shipping Coordinator – Job Role: Reporting to the head of logistics, you will be arranging shipments to satisfy customer demand and working with shipping partners to receive imported goods.
Shipping Coordinator – Role Responsibilities:
1. To coordinate daily shipments of customer sales orders from despatch to courier collection.
2. Export documentation required to ship to the customer.
3. Uploading data on courier portals to initiate collection.
4. Liaising with various outside organisations to obtain relevant documentations/permissions from courier companies to customs agents.
5. Initiate and drive continuous improvement within the shipping end-to-end process.
6. Work with various internal stakeholders.
7. Adhere to team standard work and 5S.
8. Storage and archiving of shipment files.
9. Responsible for signing off import records from a third-party customs broker.
10. Calling couriers for transit updates as requested to ensure customer delivery.
11. Compliance to company and departmental procedures.
Shipping Coordinator – Candidate Requirements:
1. Ideally to have 2 years’ experience in an export/import environment.
2. Background in Aerospace preferred.
3. Chamber of Commerce training preferred.
4. Experience working in a cross-functional team to execute the end-to-end shipping process.
Shipping Coordinator – Benefits:
1. £28,000 to £32,000
2. 39 hours per week
3. 08.00 – 17.00 core hours Monday to Thursday
4. 08.00 to 13.00 on Friday
5. 25 days holiday
6. Matched 8% pension
7. 10% discretionary bonus
8. Time and a half overtime payments Monday to Saturday
9. Double time overtime payments on Sunday's and bank holidays
