We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Specialist to join our team, reporting to the Health and Safety Lead for Engineering & Maintenance (E&M). This entry level role involves supporting the development and maintenance of health and safety systems while actively participating in safety management activities. You will play a key role in administering the health and safety of engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance, and steering investigations related to safety incidents. Working within the Health & Safety team, you will be tasked with conducting audits, assessments, and maintaining continuous oversight of safety practices across easyJet. This includes providing advice and guidance on health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with the management system, and supporting corrective actions where necessary. The role covers a broad spectrum of environments, from office settings to engineering and maintenance operations, construction projects, fire safety, and hazardous substance management. You will assist in producing periodic health and safety performance reports, investigate incidents, and deliver project work aligned with our health and safety plan. This role offers the opportunity to actively contribute to a safe working environment across our pan-European operations, including line stations and hangars, ensuring easyJet’s commitment to being a safe & responsible organisation. What You Need To Do This Role Although not essential it would be desirable that you will have experience in Health and Safety with a strong understanding of environmental management, auditing, and inspections. Experience in high-risk industries such as construction, manufacturing, aviation, or engineering, with knowledge of property management and safety systems. You should be skilled in managing complex stakeholder relationships and confidently be able to communicate technical matters to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, a thorough understanding of Health and Safety legal requirements, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure are essential. A passion for driving Health and Safety initiatives is key. The role also requires travel across our UK network, especially in north of the UK, so flexibility is important.
