Contract Recruitment Consultant - Renewable Energy
Up to £40,000 dependent on experience (OTE 60-100k)
Bristol office, hybrid working available
This role represents hot desks, and we expect the successful consultant to deliver £100k+ in their first year. The focus will be on the construction phase of renewable energy projects across the UK and Europe.

MDE Group UK's onshore renewable energy team is currently recruiting as we continue to expand our presence in the renewable energy market. We have recently grown our business development team across the globe and now require consultants to manage these new business opportunities. While there will be a flow of roles to you from BD managers and others in the team, we expect consultants to be proactive salespeople; therefore, 360 experience is imperative.
Since establishing in the energy industry in 2008, MDE has become a key partner to major renewable energy organisations across the UK and Europe. We recruit across the project lifecycle and expect our consultants to understand technical terminology, be consultative in their approach to clients and candidates, and communicate with the utmost professionalism and integrity. The individual who will excel in this role is enthusiastic about the renewable energy industry, a strong communicator and negotiator, and is capable of sourcing and qualifying candidates for technical positions.
Responsibilities
1. Provide CIS, LTD, & IR35 compliance consulting to clients and candidates.
2. Generate sales from new and existing clients, including lead generation, creative sales approaches, and cold calling.
3. Identify target clients and track projects using CRM, including market mapping.
4. Plan and monitor activity to ensure targets are met.
5. Write and post advertising copy for vacancies and handle candidate applications.
6. Manage client relationships, including tendering dates and PSL review tracking.
7. Source candidates through headhunting, job boards, and networking.
8. Conduct candidate onboarding, including GDPR, Right to Work, and certification checks.
9. Screen and interview candidates, matching skills to client requirements.
10. Regularly maintain candidate and client data in CRM for alerts and follow-up.
11. Build and maintain an active network to support business and candidate sourcing.
