The Team
The Food Safety/Health and Safety Team is a busy front-line service responsible for the delivery of the health and safety, skin piercing registration/special procedures licensing, food safety and communicable disease control functions.
The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team to undertake the full range of health & safety enforcement work. This will be based on a combination of proactive and reactive interventions as part of the work programme as well as the investigation of accidents, service requests and investigation of communicable disease notifications.
With a large and diverse number of business types and risks, including leisure, adventure tourism, skin piercing, retail and distribution there is interesting and varied workload. You will need excellent communication skills, be a great team player and have experience of working in a health and safety role and dealing with a wide range of people and situations in a professional manner.
Qualifications
Applicants/candidates will need to have a Degree in Environmental Health or equivalent as well as a Certificate of Registration of the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) or a Registered/Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner.
You will need a full UK driving licence and use of a car while at work.
