We are looking to recruit a Job Coach for an immediate start.
This is a fixed term contract which will run to the end of the summer term, July 2025. Your contract is annualised which means you are paid through the half terms including Christmas and Easter.
This is a part time role, working 3 days per week. You will work 19.5 hours per week (equivalent to 6.5 hours per day). You will be supporting a student who will be working with two employers; 2 days at one employer and an additional day at another. The role will involve you travelling between employers so access to a car would be helpful although not essential.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role. You will have a passion for working with children with SEN and helping them overcome their barriers to be the best that they can be. You will have a tolerance and understanding to nurture the student so they can work to their strengths and develop those areas where they need additional support. You will have the ability to work with autonomy in a professional manner at all times. You will be reliable and punctual - the student will always depend on you for this.
The role of the job coach is almost a hybrid of an SEN teaching assistant and learning mentor.
This is a very exciting, rewarding and fulfilling role.
Your hourly rate will be £16.00. Your pay is PAYE.
You must have an up to date (on the Update Service) and clear DBS. If you do not have a DBS, we can assist you with securing one.
