Reed is advertising this role on behalf of our client, who is seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee their operations. This role is initially offered as a 6-week contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day operations of the community center, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors.
* Coordinate maintenance and repairs of the facility, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
* Supervise cleaning staff and ensure the center is kept clean and tidy at all times.
* Oversee security measures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage bookings and scheduling for events and activities within the center.
* Liaise with external contractors and service providers as needed.
* Monitor and manage the budget for facility-related expenses.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in facilities management or a related field.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs.
