An Exciting Opportunity for an Electronic Equipment Requirement Authority (ERA)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Equipment Requirement Authority (ERA) in electronic weapon system development.
Job Title: Electronic Equipment Requirement Authority
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location: Stevenage or Bristol
Dynamic (hybrid) working: Typically 3 days per week on site
Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. Minimum BPSS clearance required.
The opportunity:
The Equipment Requirement Authority (ERA) will play a crucial role in delivering solutions in support of an export customer operating in the land domain.
As an ERA, you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with hosting platform interfaces, overseeing technical validation of electronic equipment through rigorous testing and analysis, and managing work packages from pre-contract bidding to on-contract completion.
You'll be part of a team that covers the entire design lifecycle, from Concept to In-service, driving transformation, personal growth, and expanding influence over our products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Management: Lead the technical status and progression of assigned work packages, including pre-contract bidding, on-contract milestone completion, and conducting complementary funded research and development.
* Electronic Equipment Solutions: Collaborate closely with national and international customers to deliver innovative electronic equipment solutions, developing domain-specific requirements and producing interface definitions.
* Verification and Validation: Develop comprehensive strategies for verifying and validating electrical, mechanical, software, and transversal properties of a system or subsystem.
* System Certification Support: Work alongside the Equipment Design Authority to provide assurance evidence for the Electronic Subsystems to facilitate system-level certification of the Weapon System for trials or delivery.
* Technical Information Exchange: Facilitate seamless exchange of technical information from the Equipment Design Authority and assess it against emerging requirement specifications as necessary.
