Job Description
You’re not here to coast. If you’re an engineer who gets stuff done - fixing things right, keeping everything running - then keep reading. This is a shift-based role where your skillset is key to making sure things don’t break in the first place. It’s about getting the job done with no fuss and no micromanagement.
The Role:
You’ll be working in pairs, one electrical, one mechanical, with a clear goal: keep things running, fix what’s broken, and improve what you can. There’s no time for waiting around. You’ll tackle breakdowns, improve efficiency, and take ownership of your work.
The shift pattern is as follows:
1. Week 1: Four 12-hour days (Mon-Thu, 6 am - 6 pm).
2. Week 2: Two 12-hour nights (Wed-Thu, 6 pm - 6 am) and one 9-hour shift (usually Monday or Tuesday night).
3. Week 3: Two 12-hour nights (Mon-Tue, 6 pm - 6 am) and one 12-hour day shift (Friday, 6 am - 6 pm).
What’s on offer?
Salary: £43,000 - £46,000
Benefits:
* Pension scheme (5% employee, 10% employer)
* 9 x salary death in service benefit
* Profit-related bonus in June
* Employee ownership bonus in July (tax-free)
* Day and night shifts. It’s not a 9-5 job, and that’s a good thing.
What we need from you:
* Solid engineering experience in either electrical or mechanical disciplines. Fast-paced environments preferred.
* Qualifications: HNC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Ability to Solve Problems: No time for half-measures. Fix things right, first time.
* Team Player: You’ll work with a partner, so communication is key.
Is this you?
If you’re an engineer who wants to make a difference, take ownership of your work, and isn’t afraid of a challenging shift pattern, then we want to hear from you. This isn’t for someone who wants to clock in and out. It’s for someone who’s ready to get their hands dirty, make things better, and keep everything running smoothly.
