We’re currently on the lookout for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join one of our partner schools in the Tameside area.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you’ll be a key player in helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential. You’ll work directly with students, offering one-on-one support, implementing behaviour management strategies, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment in the classroom.
* Support Students: Help students who struggle with behaviour develop coping strategies, social skills, and positive learning attitudes.
* Manage Behaviour: Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to implement and maintain effective behaviour management plans.
* Mentor Students: Build strong, supportive relationships, serving as a positive role model.
* Assist in Classrooms: Work alongside teachers to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
* Monitor Progress: Track and report on student behaviour and engagement, providing feedback to teachers and school leaders.
* Develop Programs: Contribute to the creation and delivery of behaviour intervention programs and workshops.
* Experience: Ideally, you’ve worked with children or young people in a mentoring, support, or behavioural management role.
* Skills: You’re a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
* Empathy: You have a compassionate approach and can understand and support students with diverse needs.
* Adaptability: You can respond effectively to the varying needs of students and the school environment.
* DBS Check: An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
