Level 3 Teaching Assistant Level 3 Teaching Assistants required Start: January 2025 Full – time; temp to perm Burnley £12.90 - £13.50 p/h Specialist provision for children ages 2-19 The headteacher of a nurturing specialist provision in the Burnley area is seeking to employ a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. This vacancy has been approved due to additional funding being granted to the school. The school caters for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), Autism and challenging behaviour. The headteacher is keen to welcome applicants who have a desire to remove the barriers for learning and encourage children to achieve to the best of their ability. Role of Level 3 Teaching Assistant Ensure children are happy, safe, and stimulated Provide cover for whole classes e.g. to cover short-term teacher absence To be flexible and open minded Develop trusting relationships with the children Supervise and monitor children Organise daily activities Develop strategies for children to cope in high pressure situations Provide personal care Follow EHCP’s (Educational Health Care Plans) Liaise with outside agencies, class teachers and SENCO As these can be challenging environments to be successful you would ideally have experience in this sector and have worked with children who PMLD, Autism and challenging behaviour however this doesn’t necessarily have to be in a school setting and can be from care, residential, youth work, prison service, sports coaching, personal experiences etc What we can offer Structured working week, Monday - Friday, 8:30pm – 3:30 pm Temporary, full-time position Earnings paid weekly Support in your professional development If you would like to be considered for this role, get in touch with Keira and click apply now and I will contact you All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
