Key Responsibilities
1. Search for new business and distribution networks in emerging markets
2. Manage, train and mentor our team of Parts Sales Executives to exceed targets
3. Ensure all members of the Sales team are fully conversant with and use the enquiry management system efficiently
4. Review and allocate all incoming web/email sales enquiries as appropriate
5. Follow up on all allocated enquiries with the sales team
6. Ensure the sales team log all enquiries and record all contact with customers
7. Contribute towards the improvement of internal systems and take a leading role in the implementation of procedures
8. Oversee and, where required, attend visits to potential customers
9. Act as a key contact between the company and its existing and new client bases
10. Support the Sales Executives in negotiating the terms of agreements and in the closure of sales
11. Gather market and customer information
12. Represent the organisation at trade exhibitions and other events
13. Negotiate contracts with prospective clients
14. Advise the team on upcoming product developments and contribute towards the creation of special marketing campaigns
15. Meet and exceed departmental targets
16. Conduct regular performance reviews with team members
17. Handle and resolve escalated customer service issues
18. Follow up with customers in order to gauge and record customer satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities
19. Follow up with 'lost lead' customers with a view to converting, where possible, into sales
20. Responsibility for achieving high levels of customer service and satisfaction
21. Chair weekly sales meetings
22. Produce regular reports to senior management in relation to sales performance, customer service levels / issues and any day-to-day matters
Skills
23. Proven Sales Management experience in the automotive industry
24. Must possess strong IT skills and have the ability to create and implement Strategic Sales plans and procedures
25. Excellent Leadership Skills including Management experience
26. Able to work under pressure and meet targets
27. Able to communicate successfully, including at the highest levels
28. Analyse and interpret research data
29. Excellent negotiation skills and a ‘can do' attitude is essential
