You will be employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support them only. This role will be to cover 48hrs a week as either one full-time post, or two part-time posts. Pay rates are broken down as follows: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 20:00 - £13.50 per hour Monday to Friday 20:00 – 08:00 - £14.50 per hour (waking nights) Weekends - £14:50 per hour All training and supervisions are paid at £11.44 per hour About the Client and Duties You will be providing complex care support, as needed for our professionally and socially active, creative client to maintain independence, by assisting and facilitating our client’s health, care, personal, social, professional, educational and voluntary goals. Essentially, the role requires you to respect our client’s autonomy and support him in performing tasks he would perform himself if he were non-disabled, as well as provide all care needs including personal care. You will maintain and promote the safety of our client, both at home and whilst undertaking personal, social, professional and voluntary activities. Requirements Typical duties will include: To provide all care needs, including personal care To provide medication and equipment to our client as needed To assist our client as needed getting to and from appointments To maintain areas of our clients home and vehicle to an acceptable level of cleanliness To check stock supplies and maintain adequate stock levels To maintain and organise our clients clothing, belongings and equipment to his wishes whilst being careful and respectful To ensure our client’s holistic wellbeing is supported at all times as needed This list is not exhaustive. This role requires care skills, empathy, patience and the ability to work under your own initiative whist maintaining confidentiality and without hindering or interfering the client’s wishes and activities.
