The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

The Role & Key Responsibilities
We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Volunteering Team as a coordinator. This role offers a varied and challenging opportunity to support our volunteers who contribute thousands of hours to policing every year.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide coordination and administrative support across all long-term volunteering roles (special constables, police support volunteers and volunteer police cadets).
2. Help develop and support short-term volunteering opportunities such as work experience and student placements.
3. Welcome volunteers into the force.
4. Act as a point of contact for volunteers, internal and external stakeholders/partners.
5. Organise, attend and support events for volunteers.
6. Interview and assess volunteer and placement applicants.
7. Manage Outlook mailboxes and data within systems/spreadsheets.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for an individual who understands and recognises the value of volunteering. Previous experience of working with volunteers and/or young people is beneficial but not essential.
You will need to be experienced in administration and confident in the use of Microsoft Office programmes. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm and commitment. Great communication skills are essential for this role, and you should be comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders/partners.
A practical understanding of communication channels, particularly social media, would be advantageous.
