Team Supervisor Supported Housing Intensive Housing Management Services

About the role
An opportunity to operationally manage our Intensive Housing Management service that are based within supported housing environments within Adult Services in Birmingham and Sandwell, Domestic Abuse services in Birmingham and Derbyshire, and Young People Services in Birmingham.
The role will have joint responsibility with their peer and together will be responsible for around 20 staff. It is essential that a car is available for work. Mileage will be paid. Working in partnership with other team leader colleagues, service leads, and the senior management team, you will ensure the provision of a high-quality service.
Working with your team to create and maintain tenancies, whilst also maximising income to Trident through efficient and effective management oversight of performance and operational delivery that’s associated with all aspects of tenancies including well-being checks, management of voids and home moves, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, impacts of welfare reform, and resident engagement.
Maintaining a focus on supported housing management that creates and sustains safe, productive, and thriving communities by encouraging residents to take an active interest and role in the places in which they live, working with them and other partners to identify and deliver improvements such as best use of stock reviews and the development of community hubs.
To pro-actively work with colleagues in the Homes and Community Department and across all Trident departments, to achieve the department’s strategy, vision, priorities, and Operational Action Plan.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leading the team in the delivery of a high quality, flexible, responsive service to residents and neighbourhoods. To ensure accurate customer data is recorded via the relevant ICT systems for all customers.
2. Attending weekly void meetings that ensure collaborative working between internal departments that focus on the effective management of void properties and manage team performance against KPI’s.
3. To lead the team in meeting rent and service charge collection working in conjunction with the Supported Housing commissioned team and the Income Recovery Team.
4. Ensure effective action is being taken by all Supported Housing Officers to manage tenancy agreements and sustain tenancies to keep residents in their homes.
5. Develop an internal referral route for general needs customers to lead worker support or into supported housing where there are joint agreements that this better meets individual needs and risks.
6. Deliver high quality efficient community and neighbourhood management services to ensure residents and officers have a pride and commitment to the places in which they live and work. Participating in estate walkabouts, resident meetings, and events.
7. To lead and promote a positive resident engagement culture, working closely with Engagement and Community Safety colleagues to ensure residents have an opportunity to shape and influence service delivery.

About You
* Experience of leading or managing a team and developing the team with proven results
* Experience of working collaboratively and effectively with other teams, with demonstrable success
* Experience of working with housing management systems
* Experience of working with Microsoft applications
* Attention to detail including experience of keeping accurate and compliant records
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* High level of professional integrity
