About the role: As an Assistant Head of Department for Electrical Installations across both our Cambridge and Huntingdon Campus, you will support the Head of Department to provide high quality management, leadership and guidance across the curriculum and to provide an excellent learning experience which ensures high achievement for all students, through exemplary practice in teaching, learning and assessment. The Electrical Installations curriculum area consists of the following: -Electrical Installations -Installation and maintenance electrician Apprenticeship standard. We offer Electrical Installations courses at both our Cambridge and Huntingdon Campuses. This role requires flexibility to travel between these locations as needed. The purpose of the Assistant Head of Department role is to support the Head of Department by: -Assisting the Head of Department in managing and developing the curriculum, including the management of staff and resources in the area. -To improve outcomes for students by achieving and maintaining high standards of performance through tracking, monitoring and inspiring staff and students. - Play a pivotal role in Quality and developing the area further. Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate relevant industry skills is essential for the role. You should have current Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the role and good interpersonal, administrative, communication skills, being organised and able to meet deadlines is also essential.
