Highly regarded consultancy are seeking a CDM Advisor / Principle Designer to join their well-established team in Newcastle. They have a healthy pipeline of work across the North East & Yorkshire, focusing on commercial new build, fitout and residential schemes. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the construction/civil sector.
Responsibilities:
1. Liaising with site staff and communicating with all parties involved in the project.
2. Reviewing and maintaining systems for the company and recommending improvements.
3. Attending design and project meetings.
4. Working alongside a close-knit team but also in a very autonomous role.
5. Comprehending and carrying out thorough reviews of site project information and construction drawings, and identification of design, construction and maintenance risks through Design Risk Reviews.
6. Overseeing preparation and production of Pre-Construction Information and CPPs.
7. Monthly reporting.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 6 months experience in HSE role.
2. A thorough understanding of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015, and other associated H&S legislation.
3. NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health & Safety.
4. Previous experience of working in the construction and/or civil sector is essential.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Full UK driver's license.
7. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
